Brookfield School
This flooring installation was carried out for Brookfield School, with Form Building & Developments overseeing the project as the head contractor. To ensure proper sound control in the second-floor hard flooring areas, a rubber underlay was installed beneath the commercial vinyl. This helped meet the required noise ratings and created a comfortable environment for students and staff.
The project utilised carpet tiles and commercial vinyl over rubber underlay. Throughout the installation process, unexpected challenges arose, requiring adjustments to scheduling and resource allocation. Fortunately, strong industry relationships allowed additional installers to be secured as needed. Given the extended timeline and evolving site conditions, multiple installation teams were carefully coordinated to ensure steady progress. The project encompassed two two-story teaching blocks, an administration block, and a gymnasium, totaling approximately 2500m² of carpet tile and 1000m² of vinyl. Installation took place over six months in 2023.
