Fibre quick guide (bedroom-focused)

• Solution Dyed Nylon (SDN) – The all-rounder. Excellent stain resistance, colourfastness and resilience. It isn’t the very softest underfoot, but it keeps its look for years—ideal for kids’ rooms and rentals where practicality matters.
• Triexta (PTT) – The softest feel in the modern market, with impressive stain, fade and crush resistance. A superb master-bedroom choice if you want that hotel-plush feel without babying the carpet.
• Polyester – Budget-friendly, naturally stain and fade resistant, and pleasantly soft. The trade-off is lower crush resistance, so it can flatten in high-traffic zones. In low-use bedrooms (guest rooms, seldom-used spaces) it offers strong value.
• Polypropylene – Similar to polyester for stain resistance and affordability, but generally used where price is the main driver.
• Wool – Beautiful, natural and breathable with excellent thermal and acoustic comfort. It’s more susceptible to staining and UV fade than synthetics, so choose wisely if the room gets strong sun or sees make-up/spills. Bremworth’s premium wools remain a favourite for classic, cosy bedrooms.

Polyester or wool for bedrooms: which is better?

It depends how the room is used:

• For everyday luxury and longevity: Wool (especially denser loop or twist piles) brings natural warmth, great sound absorption and that unmistakable premium look and feel. Best in master suites or spaces where you’ll care for it.
