Being a third generation flooring guy I was born with “fluff in my veins”. I ran the national product program for NZ’s biggest flooring chain but when they sold to an Australian private equity I decided it was time to fulfil my dream of creating The Flooring Room. I put my name to every job and am extremely proud of what we can do for you.

Paula is a qualified interior designer and can advise you on the latest in design trends. More importantly Paula is passionate about helping homeowners achieve the look they want. At The Flooring Room we encourage you to bring in your kitchen bench or curtain samples so we can help you build a cohesive scheme with your new flooring choices. We aim to help you to enjoy the creative process as much as we do.

Tracey and her family moved to the sunny Bay of Plenty in 2009 and having built and renovated a number of houses Tracey has a passion for all aspects of design. Tracey has studied design and decorating and is a qualified interior designer – and loves bringing this knowledge to flooring. Tracey knows the huge impact flooring has on your home and is excited to help you with the co-ordination of your design choices.

Rose is our Residential Flooring Manager and leads our team of experienced Flooring Consultants (Roses team has over 80 years experience in Flooring!).    Rose recently completed Interior Designer Qualifications and combined with her extensive flooring knowledge, Rose will ensure you get a floor you love.

Bill has over 20 years of experience in flooring in NZ and overseas, and is a strong member of our Commercial Flooring team.  Born and raised in the Bay of Plenty, Bill spent 5 years in the Waikato where he worked primarily in commercial flooring, and since moving back home to Bethlehem loves being back in his local community.  Commercial Flooring project – big or small – Give Bill a call he’d love to help.

Nick is one of our highly experiences Flooring Consultants at The Flooring Room.  Nick is passionate about providing outstanding advice and service to his clients, and will do whatever it takes to ensure you get a floor you love.  Nick’s use of laser measuring ensures quick accurate measures every time.

Penny joins The Flooring Room Tauranga with almost 30 years in interiors industries.  Penny has experience in soft furnishings, tiles, and for the last 7 years or so has been working in flooring in the Tauranga region.  When not at work Penny enjoys finding the BOPs best iced chocolates, salsa dancing, and is currently learning German!

After a decade working in the flooring industry in the mighty Waikato, honing his skills and knowledge in the residential market, Brenden has since switched his focus to commercial flooring.  Since moving to the beautiful Bay of Plenty he has spent another 4 years in the commercial sector. He is now managing our commercial team who are ready to tackle any commercial job, big or small.  He looks forward to helping bring your commercial dreams to life.

Stephanie joins us with a strong background in kitchen design having been a designer for the private and commercial sector for the past 3 years, working along-side Architects & large housing groups. Outside of work Stephanie is a proud Papamoa local, and after lots of travel in her earlier life, is loving the process of renovating her first home and for downtime enjoys cooking and time in the gym.

Vicki has over 25 years experience in the flooring industry, including roles in sales, administration and operations. Her primary role is supporting our growing Commercial flooring team, but she is involved in all aspects of the business, ensuring the team have the necessary processes in place to make your flooring experience with us one to remember for all the right reasons.

Allison has made the admin functions of flooring businesses tick for over ten years. As is often the way with the admin people they are the unsung heroes of the business beavering away in the background making sure everything works as it should.

Karolina is our “human carpet cutting machine”   😉   in the warehouse working alongside Mark.  Karolina, originally from Prague, has a Masters Degree in sports education and spent years travelling the world.  She has settled in Mount Maunganui where she loves living by the ocean, surfing, yoga, trekking and catching up with friends.

We’ve got a great bunch of installers working as part of the team – Some of which have been working with us personally for 30 years or more – Talk about experience! The installers are absolutely key in making your job a good one and for that reason we don’t cut corners. Plus all our installations are guaranteed for the life of the product!
